Meet Maku

Earlier this year I released a Devanagari typeface that is based on a stylised version of my handwriting, called Maku. Maku is a unique advanced typeface that has multiple alternates that mimics handwriting effectively. It also has swashes, forms with extended top line and a whole lot of of icons inspired from Indian festivities. To showcase the elegant and fun features of the typeface, I collaborated with the immensely talented Nicolas Chevaillier (of Zenchi Zenno) who created this incredibly fun movie called Meet Maku.

If you wish to see more of Maku’s features and read more about the typeface, try it and buy it look here!

That is not all, I also designed a Indian festival calendar using Maku. This calendar was screen printed by the good people at Pritam arts and is available to buy from Mota Italic.
